The Full Picture Curvesity 2009 Well 2009 has started off with a Big Bang and Curvesity is in the Mix. We are innovators and not duplicators and that will be our “Theme” for this coming year.

So far the start of this year has really been an exciting as well as a trying one. We start off the year with the Swearing in of our First African American President……. President Barack Obama. Every time I say his name or just me here typing it, it just gives me great pride and joy. The world wanted a CHANGE and he rose up to the call. With the task that the President Obama has embarked on, he has inherited a world and an economy in extreme disarray. Life will not be easy for many families, with the financial crisis that we are in and homelessness on the rise, but we have to work together as a nation and as a people to help our fellow man. We have to support each other. A fix will not come right away but we must keep faith, buckle our belts and to do what we can. We should also not be afraid to ask for help because there is help out there. If you have things that you can donate go to your local drop off spots and help somebody. We all have a lot of stuff in our houses that we are not using and there are a lot of people in need out there. So let’s “Pay It Forward” and you will feel good about helping our fellow man as well as our Mother Earth because that becomes recycling. We at Curvesity will be doing our part.

We will have a lot of exciting things going on and we will be out and about to support our fellow Plus Size Promoters, Designers, Models, Poets, Businesses and every thing in between. We will be having our 2009 Curvesity Curvy Awards and we will be announcing the date when we get all of the kinks worked out, so keep checking in. You thought the first one was fantastic this year’s event will be even more exciting. We have selected some fabulous recipients that are well deserving of being in the Curvesity’s Hall of Fame. These recipients we believe are really showing what it is to be a positive and inspiring.

Curvesity will be doing a few networking parties and also parties for the definitely Grown and Sexy starting for the 2009 Spring/Summer season. We will be doing more fashion shows with new twist and exciting models. We have a great array of things to intrigue your fashion pallet. With all that being said we are not going to stress your pockets with outrageous fees. We understand what is going on and we have taken all of that into consideration and like I said everyone has to do their part.

Curvesity will be doing functions with a purpose. We will be choosing some charities to donate to because there are a so many charities that are near and dear to us and we want to do our part towards helping them being able to have the resources to find a cure or solutions. We are really excited about that, we want to “Make the Bigger Difference” as our motto states. We will also be checking out all the scenes of NYC and beyond. Curvesity will also be in a city near you so if you see the Curvesity Team Holla at us!!!

We plan to also take the Curvesity tour to Jamaica West Indies at the end of August for Labor Day weekend so please checkout that page on this website for further information. You never know what Curvesity has planned for you there at the Super Club 2 all-inclusive resort. “Khari” The Poet will definitely be on the island giving us some more of his lyrical skills. The events I have mentioned are just to name a few of the fresh and exciting things that we are planning.
